Another amazing book by Jen Wang. This one is about a prince who hires a dressmaker. Lots of great ideas about drag, identity, and coming of age. It had me absolutely weeping at the end of it.

I got back to the work of indexing my journals. The backlog goes all the way back to Volume 55. That’s ten volumes, or about two years of journals, that need to be indexed. At the usual rate, it will 10~15 hours to get through them. It’s pleasant work though because I get to look back and see all the amazing things.

Parker to a cabby: “How am I doing? Not great. I’m going to the hospital at 04:30 in the morning.” (2024-09-07)

Mira: “How do you eat your boring parents if you are not hungry?” (2024-09-15)

Mira about Mabel: “You need to love her, and keep her, and need her.” (2024-08-12)

A couple students asked for my lecture note template, so I put up: $\LaTeX{}$ Lecture Note Template.

Last week, I got very excited about juggling. The Links section is just full of juggling stuff. I’m trying to juggle more consistently and use that as a way of getting some physical activity in. For example, one can do a squat to pick up a dropped ball.

Playing #

I’m looking at the possibility of migrating all the content from my WordPress blogs over to this blog. They haven’t been updated it years and it would be nice to have everything on one site.

I went ahead and imported Playing With Games using wordpress-export-to-markdown. It worked really well. There were only 22 posts, so it went pretty quick. There are about 300 on pgadey.wordpress.com. I am a bit intimidated by the prospect of importing them.
